'I don't listen to him anymore' - Cheryl Fernandez-Versini hits back at Simon Cowell's weight jibe

CHERYL Fernadez-Versini has responded to Simon Cowell after he made a jibe about her weight.

The dad-of-one finally opened up about why he sacked the Girls Aloud star from the US version of the X Factor.

He said: "She'd put on a bit of weight, but not loads. That wasn't the issue.

"The only way I can describe it is that it wasn't Cheryl sitting in that seat. She'd lost her confidence."

He also commented on the purple and orange outfit she wore on the first day of auditions saying he didn't recognise her.

But the artist formerly known as Cheryl Cole blasted her boss saying he wasn't a gentleman.

Speaking to Yahoo Celebrity, she said: "I heard this rumour and I think a gentleman should never speak about a woman's age or weight but that's only if you're educated on how to treat a woman.

"So, unlucky for him. And who listens to Simon Cowell these days anyway. Does anybody?
