LeAnn Rimes Calls Justin Bieber 'Stupid', Random Celebrity Feud Of The Week

We can't say that we are ever surprised when we hear people say negative things about Justin Bieber, but LeAnn Rimes, as in, actual LeAnn Rimes, calling the popstar "stupid" is surely one of the most random yet?

The 31-year-old country singer was speaking to Joan Rivers in her bed series In Bed With Joan when the comments were made.

Ah, that explains it - there is a theory that catty Joan brings out the worst in everyone.

LeAnn shot to fame at just thirteen so knows all too well the hardships and trouble that young stars, such as Bieber, can face.

And she appears to have little sympathy.

LeAnn said that she just can't explain why Justin keeps letting himself get caught doing all sorts of Justin-Bieber-esque things, i.e. driving totally irresponsibly, allegedly breaking up relationships, and generally being an all-round brat. 

Speaking to Joan about the Biebs, she says: "I think I rebelled but it was either through my music and trying to be defiant by doing something that no one else wanted me to do, or it was in my home.

"I always say if you're going to party like that don't leave your house. Just don't leave your house, you can do it all you want, just don't be stupid.

"I think nowadays people are stupid and everybody has a camera-phone. It just makes it worse."

Some sound advice there, now let's see if Justin takes note.

LeAnn also predicted that Bieber's ego will catch up with him sooner or later, saying: "When you think you own the world - which anybody could, trust me I've been through the same feelings - you know everything at 16, and it's like, 'Oh my god I'm selling millions of records, why do I need to listen to you?'

"But you get hit in the face with that pretty quick, and I guess you either learn from it or you can spiral way downhill from there."

Well so far Justin hasn't learnt very much from his long track record of bad behaviour, but let's hope it isn't quite all downhill for the 20-year-old.

Wouldn't it be nice if Justin took on LeAnn's advice and she became some kind of mentor to the child stars?

Lord knows Justin isn't the only one of them who could do with some guidance.
