Jennifer Lawrence was the victim of a mass celebrity hack on Sunday night as explicit photos of the star were leaked online.
The photos, which Hunger Games actress Jennifer's rep has confirmed are of her, went viral on Twitter after they were allegedly shared by an anonymous phone hacker.
Jen hit out at the hacker shortly after the photos began doing the rounds, and her agent told the Mirror: "This is a flagrant violation of privacy.
“The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence."
It has now emerged she was just one of 101 A-list names allegedly targeted in what is thought to be one of the biggest celebrity hacking scandals in history.
Buzzfeed reports that the pictures were allegedly retrieved due to an iCloud leak that allowed celebrities’ phones to be hacked.
The hacker responsible is claiming to have over 60 nude selfies of the Oscar-winning actress.
A master list has been printed with names of all the other alleged victims on it.
Rihanna, Glee star Lea Michele, Aubrey Plaza, Candice Swanepoel, actress Hillary Duff, Kaley Cuoco, Kim Kardashian, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens, Kate Bosworth, Victoria Justice, Emily Browning and models Jenny McCarthy and Kate Upton are a handful of names on the list.

More than 100 A-Listers are alleged to have been targeted by an online hacker, who shared the photos online.
Jennifer Lawrence's rep confirmed that her client was a victim, and called the hacking a " flagrant violation of privacy.
Meanwhile Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice have both denied the pictures of them are real.

Leaked photos allegedly showing Ariana Grande posing naked are fake, her rep has confirmed.
The former Nickelodeon star is among more than 100 celebrities targeted by an anonymous phone hacker who claims to have nude photos of them - see the full list here.
When pictures appearing to show the Problems hitmaker were leaked on Twitter we contacted her agent, who confirmed: "These are fake."
Jennifer Lawrence's spokesperson contacted the Mirror to confirm the photos were of her, calling them "a flagrant violation of privacy".
“This is a flagrant violation of privacy," they said,
"The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”
Twitter suspends all accounts that published hacked photos
Social media giants Twitter are suspending all accounts which publish the leaked nude photos of Jennifer.
The hacker responsible is said to have of 60 explicit images of the Oscar-winning star in compromising positions in his possession.
More were being shared on the social networking site well into the early hours of the morning.
As well as Jennifer Lawrence, the photographs are alleged to include Brits Michelle Keegan, Cara Delevigne, Cat Deeley and Kelly Brook.
Other stars include singer Rihanna, Glee star Lea Michele, Aubrey Plaza, Candice Swanepoel, actress Hillary Duff, Kaley Cuoco, Kim Kardashian, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens, Kate Bosworth, Victoria Justice, Emily Browning and models Jenny McCarthy and Kate Upton.
Twitter reaction
Users have rallied round to support Jennifer after the nude photos of her were leaked and shared online.
One user wrote: "I really feel sorry for Jennifer Lawrence."
Another added: "I'd be quite proud if I looked like #JenniferLawrence," while one more wrote: "Poor Jennifer Lawrence."
But some users couldn't hide their glee as the photos took over their Twitter feed.
"Today is a good day," wrote on fan.

What is 4chan?
The explicit images of Jennifer Lawrence were allegedly shared on image-sharing forum 4chan, along with what have been claimed to be snaps of another 100 celebs.
The site is an image-based forum where users can anonymously post photos and videos, as well as commenting on others' posts.
Users do not need to register an account before participating.
The site is split into various boards, each with its own specific content from video games and music to photography and snaps of celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence.

Jennifer's fans have urged police to prosecute the person behind the dozens of explicit photos leaked online.

Kate Upton responds to online hack
Kate Upton has hit out after she was targeted alongside a stream of other A-list and British stars in a mass celebrity hacking scandal.
The star's attorney confirmed to the Mirror that photos have been leaked of the star, calling it an "outrageous violation".
They told us: "This is obviously an outrageous violation of our client Kate Upton's privacy. We intend to pursue anyone disseminating or duplicating these illegally obtained images to the fullest extent possible."

Michelle Keegan's spokesperson has confirmed to OK! Online that Michelle has no evidence of being hacked.
They said: "There's no evidence of her being hacked, and no pictures have appeared."

While the so called 'master list' of 101 celebrities supposedly targeted includes worldwide stars, most of whom are American, a few UK celebs were named too.
Michelle Keegan and Kelly Brook are among the small British group, in what is being called one of the biggest celebrity hacking scandals in history.
The stunners are joined by supermodel Cara Delevingne and TV presenter Cat Deeley, as well as 97 more stars from across the world who have fallen victim to the hack.
Former Corrie babe Michelle's rep confirmed to OK! Online that there was no evidence she had been hacked so far, saying: "There's no evidence of her being hacked, and no pictures have appeared."
But no word yet from Cara, Kelly and Cat.
Anonymous uploader behind hacking scandal SPEAKS
The faceless person behind the leaked list of nude celebrities’ photographs appears to have spoken for the first time since the images emerged.
Posting on 4chan – the image-sharing forum- the person claims they are not the hacker and instead just a collector.
Using the same IM as the one posting the J-Law snaps, the uploader wrote: “I didn't take the money and run. S**8 got weird once I started posting samples.”
The faceless poster continued: “People wanted s*** for free. Sure, I got $120 with my bitcoin address, but when you consider how much time was put into acquiring this stuff (i'm not the hacker, just a collector), and the money (i paid a lot via bitcoin as well to get certain sets when this stuff was being privately traded Friday/Saturday) I really didn't get close to what I was hoping.”
Will nude sex video be leaked next?
The hacker behind the Jennifer Lawrence nude photos leaked online now claims to have footage of the star allegedly performing a sex act.
He or she said online that they are accepting Paypal donations for the short video.
In the post they wrote: "I know no one will believe me, but i have a short lawrence video
"Is way too short, a little over 2 minutes and you only get to see her boobs
"Anyways, if somebody wants it let me know how i can upload it anonymously (i dont want the FBI over me, and you dont wanna know how I got this video.)'

The alleged hackers, who leaked naked photos of Jennifer online, claim to have stolen the snaps from Apple's iCloud Photostream service, which automatically shares iPhone photos with all of the user's devices and stores them online.

Apple under scrutiny - how safe are you?
After explicit photos of Jennifer Lawrence were leaked online, it has begged the question - how safe are your photos?
The images were allegedly leaked after the hacker broke into the celebrities' iCloud accounts, and then posted the snaps on image-sharing forum 4chan.
Despite Apple's involvement not yet being confirmed, many Twitter users have expressed their worry over its iCloud safety, as the computer giant falls under scrutiny following the mass hack.
Apple's iCloud Photostream service automatically shares iPhone photos with all of the user's devices and stores them online, calling into question how secure it all really is.
It is thought the hacker could have gained access by simply guessing the stars' passwords, or resetting their accounts by gaining access to their email addresses and answering the security questions needed.
We have contacted Apple's people for comment.

It has been rumoured that the anonymous "collector", who has insisted they did not hack the images, has in fact got 423 images on file.
A recent post on the site, which allows users to post anonymously, sees a user asking others to collate all the leaked images they have, that so far comes to a tally of 423.

Apple iCloud password hack could be 'responsible for security breach'
A piece of computer code that repeatedly guesses passwords has been found online, and it is thought it could be behind the mass celebrity hacking on Sunday.
The script was posted to software site GitHub, but a message has since appeared saying that Apple has issued a "patch" or fix for the bug.
According to the post, the script uses the top 500 most common passwords approved by Apple in order to try and gain access to user accounts.
If successful, it would give the hacker full access to the iCloud account, and therefore photos.
When nude photos of Hunger Games actress Jen were leaked online, we didn't think we could get any more shocked.
But then we reminded ourselves of these.

Downton Abbey star embroiled in 4chan scandal
British victims of 'history's biggest celebrity hacking scandal' include a star of Downton Abbey.
Jessica Brown Findlay, who shot to fame playing Lady Sybil in the hit ITV show, appears naked in the video.
The footage is reported to have been taken from the actress’s Apple iCloud account along with a number of intimate pictures.
Findlay, 24, is one of over a hundred victims including a raft of A-list celebrities and British stars.
Ricky Gervais slammed for insensitive joke
Ricky Gervais has risked the wrath of the entire Twitter world after joking about nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence which were leaked online.
He wrote - before promptly deleting it: "Celebrities make it harder for hackers to get nude pics of you from the computer by not putting nude pics of yourself on your computer."
Fans ran to Jen's aid, with one writing: "I wish @rickygervais would stop trying to defend his genius, admit he was a bit of an idiot and move on."
Another added: "In case you missed his hastily deleted tweet, here is Ricky Gervais blaming the violation of a woman's body on her."
Ricky quickly attempted to explain himself, and wrote: "Dear easily offended people, don't be. Hope that helps. Have a great day :)."

This issue has been exacerbated by the sheer volume of tweets about the nude photos, and Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence has had the worst of it.
The hacker responsible is claiming to have explicit videos of Lawrence, and claims to have over 60 nude selfies of the Oscar-winning actress.

Rihanna is more popular over time, perhaps due to her antics on the social networks, and Hilary Duff is barely talked about. But Jennifer Lawrence's mentions skyrocketed to nearly 600,000 mentions on Twitter yesterday as the pictures were leaked and publicised online.
There's some debate as to whether sharing J-Law's naked photos should result in prosecution.

"So far we don’t know the gender of the anonymous uploader, however what we do know is that only women were targeted."
A legal view
We asked lawyer Duncan Lamont whether fans could get in trouble for looking at and sharing the nude photos.
This was his response:
“An individual who searches for and finds the nude selfies on their own smartphone on Twitter or elsewhere would be OK legally (in most jurisdictions and assuming the content is more "arty" than pornographic ).
"BUT, if they endorse what they found by retweeting or even providing a link, then the law is able to bite them hard (if they can be identified!), as there has been republication of obviously private material (a privacy law breach), misuse of private data, copying (a copyright law issue as it is the celeb's image exploit, not yours) or even a conspiracy or obscene publication (crime).
"So look if you must but don't be daft and pass it on...”

Fans are tweeting their own nude selfies as part of a campaign Jennifer - aka JLaw - with the hashtag #leakforJLAW.
Cynics have pointed out that the bizarre hashtag could have actually be started last night by 4chan users who were trying to get more nudity on the internet.
Others say the hashtag shows their solidarity against online revenge porn by publishing non explicit pictures which flood the lewd user's timeline.

Anonymous 4Chan users appear to be tricking Jennifer Lawrence fans into sharing naked photos of themselves online.
In a post published today entitled The Chance For The Worldwide Trolling Of A Lifetime, a forum user proposes the idea of getting women to take off their clothes by tricking them that they are showing solidarity to their idol in a savvy social media campaign.
The post, written by an anonymous 4Chan member, reads: "The goal: Hundreds of thousands of girls are going to post their own topless and nude photos to Twitter, Facebook and Tumbler while holding handwritten "solidarity for Jennifer" signs.
"We need to frame this in a way that makes this trend seem like a SWJ tactic to combat the patriarchal savagery of men on the internet."
A disturbing chain of messages follows showing other anonymous users discussing the best ways to execute the criminal trickery.
"Genius. Solidarity with a side of "don't slut shame me". Do it m8," wrote one user.
